About Lewis

Funeral celebrant, speaker and storyteller creating meaningful ceremonies rooted in remembrance, humanity and story.

Every Life Holds a Story

“I believe funerals and celebrations of life should feel deeply personal; shaped by the stories, relationships and experiences that made someone who they were.

In moments of loss, people deserve more than a generic ceremony. They deserve to feel heard, supported and given space to honour a life in a way that feels authentic and meaningful.

My role as a celebrant is to listen carefully, create calm and help families shape ceremonies rooted in warmth, reflection and human connection.”

The Experiences That Shaped My Work

My background includes many years working within mental health, support services and care-focused environments. Experiences that gave me a deep appreciation for the importance of listening, emotional presence and human connection during life’s most difficult moments.

Through both professional and personal experience, I have encountered grief, loss, crisis and the emotional complexity that can accompany them. I have supported people through moments of sadness, uncertainty and profound change, and I understand how important it is for individuals and families to feel genuinely heard, supported and treated with compassion.

Over time, I became increasingly drawn toward remembrance work, storytelling and the role ceremonies can play in helping people honour a life, reflect on meaningful memories and create space for connection during times of loss.

I believe remembrance should never feel rushed or impersonal. Every person leaves behind relationships, experiences and stories that deserve to be honoured with care, dignity and authenticity.

These experiences continue to shape the way I approach every conversation and every ceremony with calmness, warmth and deep respect for the people and lives at the centre of them.

Story, Memory & Meaning

I believe stories matter.

The moments we share, the relationships we build and the lives we touch continue far beyond any single point in time.

A meaningful ceremony creates space not only for grief, but for remembrance, reflection, gratitude and connection.

Whether quiet and traditional or deeply personal and unique, every ceremony should honour the individuality of the person being remembered.

Alongside ceremonial work, I’m also the creator and host of Still We Speak; a storytelling and conversation platform exploring grief, memory, resilience and the human experience.

The project reflects many of the same values that shape my approach to ceremony: listening, connection, honesty and the importance of remembering the stories that stay with us.
